PhdjobhuntHers is a moderated mailing list for women who are seeking or starting beginning Ph.D. level jobs in computer science, computer engineering, or information technology in academia, industry, or government laboratories. This is a confusing period; the goal of this mailing list is to enable women undergoing this process to talk to one another. This list does not require that issues be specific to women; it is fine to just ask questions and share information about looking for these types of jobs. Anonymous postings can be made by sending a request to the list moderators. This list requires each subscriber to provide a short statement about her qualifications to join this list; specifically, that she is: * looking for a new job that requires a Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering or information technology * female It has been formed from the membership of Systers Online Community. Using PhdjobhuntHers
The mailing list is organized around conversations. To begin a new conversation, send email to PhdjobhuntHers+new@athena.systers.org. Alternately, if you would like to specify a name for your new conversation, send your message to PhdjobhuntHers+new+name@athena.systers.org, replacing name with the name you would like (e.g., PhdjobhuntHers+new+greetings@athena.systers.org). To continue an existing conversation, simply use your mailer's "reply-all" command. You can subscribe to the list in the next section of this page, or if you are already a subscriber, use the bottom section to change options or unsubscribe.

You will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members.
