Systers-Techtalk is a private email forum for technical discussions by women who are university students or working in the technical side of computing. Using Systers-techtalk
The mailing list is organized around conversations. To begin a new conversation, send email to Systers-techtalk+new@athena.systers.org. Alternately, if you would like to specify a name for your new conversation, send your message to Systers-techtalk+new+name@athena.systers.org, replacing name with the name you would like (e.g., Systers-techtalk+new+greetings@athena.systers.org). To continue an existing conversation, simply use your mailer's "reply-all" command. You can subscribe to the list in the next section of this page, or if you are already a subscriber, use the bottom section to change options or unsubscribe.
Subscribing to Systers-techtalk
Subscribe to Systers-techtalk by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your full name: (Must provide real full name to be accepted)   To join this list 1) Please provide the email address you are using for the Systers List (if it is different than the one you entered above) and 2) that you agree to follow the rules in the frequently asked questions. Thank you! You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
