talk -- Systers off-topic discussion

About talk
English (USA)

This is the beta test of the new Systers software. It is currently being used for off-topic discussions.

Thank you for participating in this test. Please send any questions or comments to talk-owner@athena.systers.org.

To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the talk archives. (The current archive is only available to the list members.)

Using talk
The mailing list is organized around conversations. To begin a new conversation, send email to talk+new@athena.systers.org. Alternately, if you would like to specify a name for your new conversation, send your message to talk+new+name@athena.systers.org, replacing name with the name you would like (e.g., talk+new+greetings@athena.systers.org).

To continue an existing conversation, simply use your mailer's "reply-all" command or follow the instructions at the bottom of a message.

By default, you will get all messages. You can, however:

  • Opt out of any conversation by following the directions in the message.
  • Change your preferences so you only see the first message in each conversation. If you wish to see further messages in a specific conversation, you can easily opt in by following the directions in the message that interests you.

You can subscribe to the list in the next section of this page, or if you are already a subscriber, use the bottom section to change options or unsubscribe.
